Pagan speech

Susan Leybourne, the controversial pagan chaplain at Leeds University, has been accepted into mainstream academia. And she's followed in the footsteps of folk like former US President, Ronald Reagan, Mother Theresa and Bishop l)esmond Tutu by addressing the Oxford University Union.

Tomorrow she's been invited to appear before theological students at the College of Ripon  and York St John. Her subject at the Oxford University Union debate was, I hear, paganism and its suppression, while
at her second appearance she'll spend 45 minutes talking about neo- paganism and the future of the old religion.

The last time a white witch addressed the 900 member Oxford Union the oldest and largest
literary and debating society -- was in 1981 by Dr Vivianne Crowley. Reagan, Mother
Theresa and Desmond Tutu have all addressed
"the Union."
